Due to human negligence the world as we know it has ended and been reborn. The animal spirits that guide man giving them the forms of animals so that they would be able to survive in this new wilderness. Though now carrying the form of beasts man has not forgotten the place they once had, as an existence greater then just what nature wanted of them, an existence above all.

Those that worked to gain their humanity are known as domestics, while those who wished to follow the roles the spirits had given them were known as wilds. Both groups grew arrogant and hateful of one another because of how differently they thought.

The raven and the wolf spirits grew tired of the destruction and fighting and sided with the wilds in their ideals, the domestics only capable of further destroying nature. In their anger they marked a tribe of wilds with a curse, they being removed from the sacred circle of life, the curse upon them only broken once the domestics are gone once and for all. The cursed tribe now known to all by the name of the spirits whom cursed them. 'Raven Wolf'

I hate doing backgrounds, it's just... boring as all hell.

Anyway this is the first comic page for Raven Wolf. Not too much going in in terms of 'comic' but at least you have a pretty picture to look until I finish some more comic pages.

I'm starting to get used to this style of character drawings, I don't normally draw in the anthro style but it was what I wanted for this particular story. I'm a heck of a lot better then when I first attempted it, though I could still use some more work I think. Hopefully I'll get the experience I need with the more pages I draw.

It was actually a little difficult to come up with a picture that would relate to the chapter without being a repeat of something that was gonna happen in the chapter or one soon after. I eventually came up with the idea of Eve and Fitz doing some sort of task while working at Eve's father's museum. (As it is apparent in the chapter that they work there doing odd jobs for Eve's father when he is short staff, which he always is) Which resulted in the image of the two in custodial clothing dusting off an exhibit.

I'm actually happy with how it turned out, I was gonna do more work on the background but found that it was starting to take the focal point off of the two characters, which is something that I did not want. I may end up blurring the background to make them stand out more but I think they pop out just fine as is. Of course that may just be me since I've been working on this for hours.

*Beats his chest with his fist* I feel ya right here. Backgrounds ARE boring as all hell. Which is probably why I don't draw them very often in my own comics...
